Welcome to My Adventure in Making Art with Watercolors and Origami

This from a girl who couldn't even draw stick figures...

However it happened, I'm glad you found me here. I'm new to creating an art business so this is truly an adventure for me and I invite you along to see what we can do together.

My story

My name is Teresa Bral and I live in North Plains, Oregon. I recently retired from my corporate career and now have time and energy to make art, something that has brought me peace and joy over the last few years. My journey began while I was caring for my mom during her final days. I would create small origami figures to hang in her windows, which always made her smile. I found healing for myself in the making of these birds and trees and leaves that I learned to fold. After she passed, I tried watercolor painting and discovered immense joy in expressing my love for nature through this medium. My family and friends were so encouraging and helped me believe that I could maybe, just maybe, be an artist. This was the last thing I could have ever imagined I could be! I had always believed I lacked artistic talent, so this revelation was a surprise. Do you ever define yourself by what you're not, like "not artistic"? I'm learning to embrace the possibilities of what I can become by not confining myself to a box.

And what I hope

I hope my art brings you joy.

I hope you don't put yourself in a box either.

I hope to keep in touch with you and show you what I am learning and making.

I'd love it if you would check out my creations here
